Community Guidelines

We’ve laid out the following guidelines to ensure Xoogler is positioned to help people for years to come.

1. Introduction

Xoogler.co is fortunate to have an incredible membership of talented people from all over the world. Community guidelines exist to support the healthy and open discussion to bring us together. The current Xoogler.co admins are Chris Fong and Ankit Jain across many Xoogler.co programs [newsletter, events, demo days, syndicate, office hours, slack community, and future programs]. They are advised by various members of the community. By participating in the Xoogler.co community you consent to the following community guidelines. In order to maintain the integrity of our community, it requires each of us to engage with each other respectfully and meaningfully.

Members flagged as promoting extremism, hate, illegal or illicit activities, violence, graphic content, harm of others or self, harassment or bullying, nudity and sexual activity, violate the privacy of another member, engage in technology based harm, or otherwise compromising the integrity of our community will be subject to removal. In more subtle ways, this includes members engaging in the unwelcomed selling, lead collection, unauthorized extraction of data, solicitation of our members, exploiting content, brand violations, or mis-representation of an association with Xoogler.co or its members where a relationship does not exist.Members who have been flagged in violation of these community guidelines may be removed immediately.

2. Content

Xoogler.co may enable members to create, share, and display comments and content. Xoogler.co is not responsible or liable for the content produced or shared by its members and is the sole responsibility of the person or entity that creates it.Members agree that their participation does not infringe, misappropriate or violate a third party’s patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights or rights of publicity or privacy. Xoogler.co is not responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of what is shared by it’s members.

3. Confidentiality

Please keep what’s said in Xoogler.co programs and slack channels confidential. Don’t repeat or quote things said here without the affirmative consent of the speaker(s) or admin(s).Please be mindful that things you say here may at some point become public. While we expect members to honor the confidentiality of this space, we cannot guarantee that they will do so–nor can we guarantee that every member’s login credentials and logged-in devices are secure. Please exercise caution and refrain from sharing sensitive information that could harm you or others if it became public.

4. Fundraising & Investing

Xoogler.co slack channel and program events exist for multiple purposes to help founders succeed, including many founders meeting strategic angel investors. Our community has grown to a size where the admin and community organizers have not met or know the integrity of every member. We encourage every founder or investor to do their own due diligence.Xoogler.co partners with Yigit Ihlamur and Kazuki Notsu who run our monthly TGIF program event and regular mentorship sessions that help founders raise capital. Both bring a strong track record mentoring Xoogler founders, and should you have any questions, you can reach out to Yigit, Kazuki, or the admins.

5. Branding

Ask the admins for any permission to use, incorporate or combine Xoogler name and logo across all programs or content material including and not limited to meetups, demo days, and syndicates. Do not imply endorsement where a relationship does not exist, put our name in your name, or put our brand elements in any material.

6. Reporting

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the admins. They’ll respond as promptly as they can.We will respect confidentiality requests for the purpose of protecting victims of abuse. At our discretion, we may publicly name a person about whom we’ve received harassment complaints, or privately warn third parties about them.
